| The Kalaloch Lodge weather report Kalaloch is situated between two rainforests, so one should always be prepared for rain here. (We get up to 277 inches some years.) It’s a good idea to pack rain gear for your trip to Kalaloch. Thanks to the influence of the Pacific, temperatures here are moderate, with summertime highs averaging in the low 70s. In the winter, low temperatures average in the mid-30s; with the storm season typically running from November - April. During the winter we often get high winds and since our power source is located 75 miles to the south of us, trees may tangle with our power lines. A lantern is a practical item to bring if you're visiting us during the winter. We do pass out small oil lamps, and since most units have fireplaces, being cold isn't usually an issue. The restaurant is always available for meals during these times. In fact, many guests choose to visit when they know there's a storm brewing - you haven't experienced the power of the Pacific Ocean until you've seen it at its raging best during a storm. Come see. |
